CAMPKO gas filters are mounted between the gas cylinder and the gas regulator . The gas connection to the filter can be made using a high-pressure gas hose or a fixed line, such as for gas tanks. The filter outlet is usually mounted directly on the gas regulator with an M20 x 1.5 (G. 13) external thread, such as Truma or GOK Mono-/DuoControl or Cavagna Multimatik.
Why is a gas filter useful in a camper?
LPG (propane/butane) is mostly a byproduct of crude oil production. Not all residues are removed in this process. These aerosols remain in the gas as liquefied droplets and are drawn into the gas flow in the LPG conversion kit.
These aerosols can accumulate in propane regulators, hoses, and valves of consumer appliances, leading to malfunctions over time. While some consumer appliances, such as heaters, can still be repaired with some effort, LPG regulators must be completely replaced because they shouldn't be opened.
How do I install the CAMPKO gas filter?
A high-pressure hose or pipe (e.g., copper, steel, aluminum, or polyethylene) is connected to the filter inlet with an M20x1.5 (G.36) external thread. Important: If the gas container is already connected to the line/pipe, close the sampling valve first.
The filter outlet is equipped with an M20x1.5 (G.36) union nut and connects directly to a gas pressure regulator with an M20 x 1.5 (G. 13) external thread.
Is the CAMPKO gas filter compatible with all propane regulators?
Yes, the CAMPKO gas filter can be used with all propane regulators that have an M20 x 1.5 (G. 13) external thread at the inlet.
How often should the gas filter cartridge be replaced?
The replaceable filter cartridge should be replaced at least every two years, depending on use.
How do I know if the gas in my camper is dirty?
The gas flame in the therme or camping stove should be a deep blue. A yellowish flame indicates dirty gas.
