A nautical first aid kit is mandatory on board vessels and must contain tools and medications to deal with medical emergencies at sea. The equipment provided varies depending on the distance from the coast and the type of navigation.
Minimum recommended equipment (within 12 miles from the coast):

✅ Disinfectant (hydrogen peroxide, povidone-iodine, chlorhexidine)
✅ Sterile gloves and scissors
✅ Tweezers and thermometer
✅ Painkillers and antipyretics (e.g., paracetamol, ibuprofen)
✅ Anti-seasickness medications (e.g., dimenhydrinate, scopolamine)
✅ Disinfectant wipes and saline solution
✅ Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation mask
