A CDI is an electronic device that stores and discharges high voltage energy to the spark plug to ignite the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder.

2. CDI racing : offers a variable advance curve, optimised for high performance.

3. Limited CDI : present on 50cc scooters, limits engine revs (can be removed to increase speed).
