Enduro tires are designed to tackle both asphalt and dirt, with a balance between off-road grip and road legality. The choice depends largely on how much off-road you do (30%? 70%? Just mud?), so below you'll find the various categories with concrete examples 👇
🧭 1. ROAD Enduro (80% road / 20% light off-road)
Ideal for those who travel on asphalt but do some stretches of dirt or gravel.
✅ Advantages: Excellent grip on asphalt, silent, good durability
❌ Disadvantages: Poor grip on mud or loose stone
🌿 2. MIXED Enduro (50% road / 50% off-road)
Excellent compromise for dual-sport or ADV trips (Africa Twin, GS, Tenere…).
✅ Advantages: Versatile, long lasting, good on dirt and asphalt
❌ Disadvantages: Noisy on the road, not ideal for heavy off-roading
🪨 3. Enduro OFFROAD (20% road / 80% off-road)
Designed for those who do true enduro (mule tracks, mud, rocks, sand...).
✅ Advantages: Top off-road traction
❌ Disadvantages: They last less on asphalt, are noisy, and have high vibrations.
🛠️ 4. Tires with mousse or HD tubes
If you do heavy offroading, consider:
- Anti-puncture mousse
- Heavy Duty / Ultra HD inner tubes
