Solar charge controller

A solar charge controller collects energy from solar panels and stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, SmartSolar maximizes this energy collection and intelligently controls it to achieve a full charge in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar maintains battery health and extends its lifespan.

The SmartSolar charge controller can recharge even a deeply discharged battery. It can operate with battery voltages as low as 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulfated or otherwise damaged.

MPPT: Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking

By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output from photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available energy is drawn from the panels and harvested for storage.

Remote monitoring and control

Control and monitor the many functions of your SmartSolar MPPT charger with built-in Bluetooth remotely by pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet, you can access the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere via the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM); both services are free. For remote installations—even if there's no internet connection or cell signal nearby—you can monitor the MPPT via Bluetooth pairing with a LoRaWAN (long-range wide area network) device, available as an option.

The load output

The Smart Load Output feature prevents damage caused by discharged batteries. You can set the voltage at which SmartSolar shuts off a load, thus preventing excessive battery discharge. And here's the best part: SmartSolar tries to charge the batteries to 100% every day. If this isn't possible, such as due to bad weather, it increases the shutdown voltage every day until it does. We called this feature BatteryLife because it maintains battery health and extends its lifespan.
