The Victron Energy Multicontrol 70 A is a 230 V, 70 A battery charger with a power inverter and booster.
One device, multiple functions
When the vehicle is not connected to the 230 V mains, Multiplus operates as a power inverter, drawing 12 V current from the battery to convert it to 230 V AC.
When the motorhome is connected to the 230 V mains, Multiplus becomes an advanced multi-stage battery charger that charges the leisure battery, while its integrated bypass simultaneously routes AC power to the vehicle's appliances.
If the power required by the appliances exceeds the power supplied by the mains, Multiplus becomes a 230 V booster, drawing from the leisure battery to supplement the AC power supplied by the mains, allowing large appliances such as air conditioners, coffee machines, and hair dryers to be started.
