Everything you need to inflate, repair, equip and maintain an inflatable boat or tender: 12V electric inflators, boarding ladders, steps, PVC and neoprene repair kits, oars and covers. To get started, it is best to consider the type of work required and the material of the inflatable boat.

How to choose accessories and spare parts for RIBs and tenders

The range covers very different products, united by their use on inflatable boats. Before choosing, it is useful to define the need: inflation, repair, routine maintenance, or outfitting with functional accessories.

Electric inflators: voltage and capacity

Inflators are divided into 12V models (from the onboard battery or cigarette lighter socket) and alternating current models for land use. The maximum pressure delivered and the air capacity determine the suitability for the volume of the RIB. Scoprega offers several variants, including models with a remote compressor and interchangeable fittings. For SUPs and inflatable kayaks such as those from Jobe, check that the inflator includes the adapter compatible with the valve provided.

Repair kits: PVC or neoprene

Repair kits differ based on the material of the main tube. PVC RIBs require specific adhesives for PVC (such as Adeco kits or Clamseal products), while neoprene and Hypalon require dedicated glues and patches. Products such as Adamprene or Rubber Kit are formulated for elastomeric fabrics. Buying the wrong kit compromises the adhesion and waterproofing of the repair.

Thole pins and rowing accessories

Thole pins are available in brass with a blind bushing or in nylon, in different sizes. The choice depends on the type of support mounted on the RIB and the diameter of the paddle pin. Osculati, Nuova Rade, and Foresti cover the most common variants. Scoprega paddles are available in a one-piece or split version, in lengths suitable for both normal rowing and use on a SUP.

Boarding ladders

RIB ladders are attached to the thole pin or the transom, in stainless steel or with covered steps. The number of steps and the attachment system to the thole pin are the main parameters to check before purchase. Trem is the most prevalent brand in this segment.

Tarpaulins, covers, and maintenance

Oceansouth custom-made tarpaulins protect the RIB from UV rays and atmospheric agents during storage or transport on board a mother ship. For PVC maintenance, regenerating waxes such as Euromeci's Gommo Wax and specific detergents are available: regular use slows down the aging of the material and maintains the tightness in the tubes.

Domande frequenti
