Street Lights for Boats

Navigation lights , or navigation lights , are essential for ensuring safety during night navigation or in conditions of poor visibility. These devices allow you to signal your vessel's position, direction, and characteristics to other sailors, facilitating maneuvers and preventing potential collisions.

Types of navigation lights required:

• Side lights (navigation lights):

  • Green light (starboard) and red light (port): These lights must emit an unobstructed light over a horizon of 112.5° forward.

• Stern light:

  • White light: Visible over a 135° angle aft.

• Anchor light:

  • White light: Visible at 360°, positioned at the bow, mainly used on sailing boats.

Specific regulations:

• For vessels less than 20 meters in length, the two navigation lights may be replaced by a combined two-color light, positioned centrally on the axis from stern to bow.

• Vessels over 50 metres in length must have two stern lights, installed at least 4.5 metres apart.
