Life Jackets

Life jackets are mandatory safety devices on board vessels, compliant with current regulations. They are designed to ensure flotation and safety in the event of a fall into the water.

Types of Life Jackets

🔹 Buoyancy Aid (50N) – Suitable for water sports and calm inland waters, does NOT guarantee to keep the head above water.
🔹 Lifesaving Devices (100N) – Suitable for coastal navigation, they keep your head above water in calm conditions.
🔹 Offshore life jackets (150N) – Ideal for navigation beyond 6 miles, they guarantee automatic reversal into the supine position.
🔹 Ocean Life Jackets (275N) – For extreme conditions, designed for those wearing heavy clothing or oilskins.
🔹 Automatic/Manual Inflatables – Compact and comfortable, they activate automatically or manually upon contact with water.

Regulations and Obligations

✅ They must be CE and ISO 12402 approved
✅ Adequate number on board (one for each passenger)
✅ Mandatory for navigation beyond 300 meters from the coast
✅ For children, they must be specifically adapted to their weight

⚠ Tip : Regularly check the condition of your life jackets, especially the inflatable ones, checking the CO₂ cartridge and activation mechanisms.
