Silic One Antifouling

SILIC ONE BLACK 0.75 L. Hempel Silic One Black, 0.75 litres, is a silicone- and hydrogel-based, biocide-free Fouling Release coating that gives the surface water-like properties: fouling organisms can no longer easily attach to the hull and fall off as soon as the boat is in motion. A silicone-based hydrogel microlayer ensures a smooth, repellent coating with low surface energy, preventing organisms from adhering to the hull and propellers, while the silicone polymers facilitate the self-cleaning effect. The hydrogel is based on unique, non-reactive polymers that, when added to the paint, form an invisible protective layer between the hull surface and the water: organisms perceive the hull as a liquid and are therefore much less likely to attach to it.
