Il sistema di arresto motore Fireboy interrompe simultaneamente fino a otto circuiti elettrici collegati al motore. In un impianto antincendio marino, questo tipo di centralina coordina lo spegnimento del propulsore nel momento in cui l'agente estinguente viene rilasciato nel vano motore: bloccare l'alimentazione elettrica e il circuito di accensione prima o contestualmente all'erogazione dell'agente e' una procedura standard per evitare reinnesco e per mettere in sicurezza il vano.
Il numero di circuiti gestiti, otto, consente di coprire le utenze tipiche di un vano motore di media complessita': accensione, pompe carburante, ventilatori e altri ausiliari possono essere interrotti con un unico comando.
