The AL-KO AK7 coupling with a diameter of 35 mm is a coupling / hitch for unbraked trailers, designed for light applications.
MAIN FEATURES:
- Maximum permitted load (unbraked trailers): 750 kg
- Bearing load on the support axle (stutzlast / nose load): 75 kg
- Connection diameter (tiller / tiller shaft): Ø 35 mm
- Fixing holes (for horizontal bolts/screws): Ø 12.2 mm, hole spacing 54 mm (version A)
- Material / Surface Protection: Zinc-plated or galvanized steel to resist corrosion
- Angle/operation indicators: Visual/mechanical indicator: When the handle is in the "open" position, a red mark appears: not yet locked. When it is "closed/engaged," the indicator disappears and the handle locks the joint horizontally.

In terms of operational functionality, the AL-KO AK7 coupling with a diameter of 35 mm comes into operation when the trailer/caravan drawbar is coupled with the ball: the head of the coupling envelops the ball, allowing the operating handle to move from the inclined position (visible red) to the horizontal locking position.
If the red color remains visible during the hooking procedure, it means that the anchoring is not complete and it is necessary to repeat the procedure before continuing the journey or leaving the trailer in storage.
The joint is correctly engaged when the red color no longer appears.
