RS40-B VHF. The RS40-B includes a Class B AIS transceiver that not only receives AIS targets but also broadcasts your vessel's position to nearby AIS-equipped vessels. This helps other mariners locate your boat in any conditions, day or night. A built-in AIS receiver monitors the position of other AIS-equipped vessels, helping you proactively avoid collisions in crowded harbors and waterways. AIS information can be displayed on the radio's built-in screen or overlaid on the map or radar screen via a compatible multifunction display. NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 connectivity is available. The removable fist microphone can be connected to the front or rear of the radio, and optional extension cables allow the microphone and radio to be mounted separately. To enable transmission, an MMSI and CALLSIGN issued by the relevant authorities are required.
