- make the theft operation more time-consuming and resource-intensive, acting as a deterrent
- allow the device to remain mounted even during transit (without having to detach it each time)
AL-KO, which is among the best-known manufacturers of trailer and caravan systems, offers a line of anti-theft devices for the coupling head, called Safety Compact , Safety Plus and Safety Premium , which are designed specifically for the AK-series couplings.
The Premium level is the most robust version, with a more solid construction, protected safety bolt, and increased thickness, designed to resist attacks with tools.
