Victron Cyrix Paralleling relay 120 A Victron

The Cyrix-CT 12/24 is a battery parallelizer that can connect the service battery to the starter battery via the automatic switch.
The Cyrix-CT automatically detects the system voltage, in fact when the combiner detects that the starter battery has reached the connection voltage it activates in order to allow the parallel charging of the service battery.
It also does not need a D+ signal from the alternator, because it activates based on the battery voltage and connects or disconnects automatically.
The parallelizer is able to interrupt the connection in case of excessive contact temperature, and reactivates it after they have cooled down.

• The Cyrix-CT 12/24 features a dual power supply, this allows bidirectional sensing of voltage and power from both batteries.
The Cryix-CT senses the voltage of both batteries. It will therefore activate if, for example, the service battery is being charged.

• It is equipped with StartAssist which allows parallel connection in case of emergency .
It can be activated by pressing a button (the Cyrix stays active for 30 seconds) or with a switch to connect the batteries in parallel manually.
This function is very useful in an emergency, for example when the starter battery is flat or damaged.

Installation:
1) Disconnect the minus of both batteries
2) Place the Cyrix-ct closest to the starter battery
3) Connect the + of the batteries to the brass bolts of the Cyrix-ct.
4) Install a fuse in series (photo 2).
5) The fuse must be sized according to the cross-section of the wire used, but must not exceed 120 A.
6) Connect the minus of Cyrix-ct "battery -"" (86) and reconnect the minus of both batteries.
